Hello. I am a beginner. I know the alphabet and some words separately, but have no conversationa l abilities. My husband is Russian. I want to learn Russian to show some respect towards my new in laws. I would love to be able to speak to my mother in law when we go to visit and help her around the kitchen or just speak on the phone. My husband will be leaving for the Navy and I want to be able to communicate to his mother and father about what's going on if he is unable to call them. I have about 6 different language books that I read and read, but unless I can hear and ask questions I am unable to understand and retain the information. I am looking for someone that will offer a fair price to teach me. Im afraid that price has a lot to do with if I can find a teacher or not. Maybe someone could suggest some group classes that would be more 'pocketbook friendly'. Thank you ahead of time for any response.

I hardly speak any Thai besides a few basic phrases. I'd really like to learn, though, as I'd like to visit Thailand at some point and perhaps teach English.
I'd hope to meet at least two hours a week, in person. I'm a college student, so I don't know how often my schedule allows for free time, unfortunately . I would gladly practice on my own time, though.
