I am a beginner in Thai. I have never studied Thai, I know a few words and phrases from working at a Thai restaurant. My boyfriends family is Thai and I wish to learn more about the language.
I would appreciate lessons once or twice a week with follow up audio stuff to help practice outside of lessons. I.e. movies, language learning CDs etc. I need a teacher who is patient as I have no experience with tonal based languages and have a hard time learning the different sounds.

I have been taking Spanish for approximately 1 1/2 years with a private tutor. While I have learned a great deal, I do not feel that my current curriculum prepares me do converse confidently as I travel to South America. I want to learn 'traveller's' Spanish and to speak the language with more clarity and to comprehend the language much better. I currently go to a two hour session either once or twice per week.

I am a missionary that has been to Haiti 13 times over the years for short two week stays. Now I am going to return to Haiti on a month there and a month at home basis.
I know some words in Creole but I have been lazy in remembering the words. I now am committed to learning the spoken language as I will need to communicate with my Haitian brothers and sisters on a more personal level.
I need to know what dictionaries I need to purchase, hopefully I can get some on CD or on-line.
I am 64 years old, male, married with grandchildren .
I have a degree in Architecture and am an experienced mechanic that was born and raised on a farm in Idaho.
I am excited to be able to return to Haiti for longer periods of time so I can share some of the knowledge and skills I have been blessed to acquire over the years.
I am willing to commit 1 to 2 hours a day to learn Creole.
