I am a beginner in terms of learning Icelandic but I have until May 2010 before I leave to Reykjavik for a three month residency. I am a Visual Artist from Montreal and I do speak English, Spanish and German so I hope my learning curve will be quick and I can hold a conversation in Icelandic with some private tutoring.

I am learning Russian because I am really interested in the language, Russian history and culture. I would like to travel/study in Russian in the future therefore I want to start actively learning with a native speaker right away.
I am a beginner but not an absolute beginner. I have been teaching myself Russian on and off for the past couple years. I have learned the cyrillic script and can read a little bit. I know some vocabulary and probably some grammar but not explicitly.
At first I would like to have lessons once per week but that may increase in the future.
I am looking for a native Russian speaker, who has experience teaching Russian. Someone who is educated and can effectively explain the language in depth. Although I am primarily wanting to learn conversationa l Russian, I also want to know as much grammar as possible.

I would like to learn Spanish for when I travel to communicate. I am a beginner. I would like to be the strongest in conversationa l Spanish but would like to have knowledge of grammar as well. I would be willing to dedicate 2 - 3 days a week 1 hr. sessions or twice a week 2hr sessions. I am looking for a fun classroom atmosphere.
