We're going to be working in Kuwait/UAE for 6 months, and didn't just want to arrive and be totally ignorant. We're total beginners, so we need some basic understanding of spoken conversationa l language etc. we're eager to learn.
We have a limited time frame before we leave but anything is better than nothing.

I will be moving to Japan within the next year and a half and require learning more of the language. My girlfriend is Japanese and has taught me some basics but she's very busy with work. I would say I'm still a beginner as I don't have any ability to read/write in Hiragana, Katakana, or Kanji. I currently work nights as a Toyota Mechanic and have Fridays off so lessons on Fridays would be beneficial. Looking for a teacher who can give me improvement on grammar, conversation, and reading/writi ng.

I am interested in learning German for the purpose of studying in Germany in the future. I have so far been self-taught through Assimil, and several courses at Goethe-Instit ut. I consider myself at the intermediate level, though I need extra-help with speaking. I would like a session entirely devoted to conversation. What I am looking for in a German teacher is complete devotion, effort and enthusiasm. Learning a language is easier when it is fun and structured.
