I'm Canadian born Chinese and am very interested in learning Mandarin Chinese. Last year I moved to Beijing, China to study Chinese, however I feel like there was not a lot of opportunity to practice in the class as the students to teacher ratio was very high. I am back in Canada for 3 weeks before returning back to Beijing, and would like to maintain, preferably improve, on my Chinese. I am at an upper-element ary level and would like to work on sentence structures and spoken conversation. I would like to meet with a teacher 3-4 times a week. What I look for in a teacher is enthusiasm and one that encourages speaking chinese and uses little english. I want to learn practical and useful words and phrases for daily conversations and also in the workplace/off ice.
