I want to learn Korean because I am planning on going to Korea to teach for 1 or 2 years starting September 2011. I wish to also go back abroad after completing grad school- thus is my 5 year plan.
My proficiency is minimal. I can read a few characters and I know limited phrases such as 'thank you' 'my name is... nice to meet you' 'I like this' among a few. I can order food in Korean, however my comprehension is next to nothing.
Ideally I was looking for someone I can sit down with once a week for one or two hours at a time. I wish to start this in January 2011 and continue until I depart for Korea.
I'm a visual learner, so I learn best by writing, speaking or doing. Writing materials and conversation would be ideal.

I am interested in learning Spanish because my wife is Peruvian and I would like to be able to communicate with her family members better. I have a basic leel of knowledge of the Spanish language and would like to build on that. I need improvement in all areas of the language. I was born into a bilingual family ( French and English), and I have always had friends who spoke Spanish, giving me a few opportunities to learn the basics of the language. However, I still consider myself a beginner and I wish to become fluent in this beautiful language. I am also learning Arabic as part of my program in university ( International studies and modern languages). I would like to find a teacher who can accommodate my busy schedule ( I go to school full time, and work part time), I will not have time for homework, and I am mostly looking to improve my conversationa l skills. A flexible schedule is key. Gracias!
