I would like to start with Cantonese, learning the language to better communticate with friends, and locals. I have got very little of the basics down, the simple how are you? please, thank-you etc the very essential basics but not nearly enough to have a conversation. Understanding is easier then speaking so my pronouncation is way off.
I would like to get a better grip on the language barrier between me and everyone I know around here.
I think finding a formal teacher to do one on one lessons would get me much further, much quicker then just trying to pick up the language when its spoken around me.
Right now I'm just looking at different resources available and having someone come to my home for private lessons I think would be most benificial.

I already take classes at the Goethe-Instit ut but I find I am falling behind with the oral German. My reading and writing skills are way better.
