I am essentially interested in learning German for various reasons. First, for personal interest. I have a relative who was Swiss-German and I want to keep that heritage alive. Second, I want to explore many avenues to expand my career. Finally, the language itself fascinates me.
My proficiency of that one of a beginner. I am using self-teaching books and CD's and I am exposed to the language through a friend who is fluent in German.
I would like to work mainly on grammar and conversation. I am ready to spend at least four hours or more a week on learning the language.
The qualities I am working in a teacher are those which will allow me to feel comfortable in order to learn a brand new language.

I am learning portuguese because i will be moving to brazil to teach English and i think it is very importent to have a good basic understaning of portugeuse. I am a beginner, i know a few words but not enough. I would like to focus on speaking and when i go to Brazil. I will be attending collage to learn proper Portuguese.
