Hello,
I am interested in learning Turkish, having visited Istanbul and Kas 3 times this year. I am interested in learning conversationa l Turkish first and then if I move towards living in Turkey, I would like to learn how to write it. I am returning to Turkey in the spring and summer of 2008.
I am looking for semi-private lessons once a week (about 1.5 hours a week) to start. I have a friend who is interested in taking the lessons with me. I would love the lessons to be fun and light, using current events, music, food and more to learn.

My sister and i both share an interest in asian culture. I plan to travel to Japan in the near future with the intention of teaching english. I would like to be able to speak the japanese language at a level that allows me to maintain a self-sustaina ble lifestyle while i live in Japan.
At this point neither my sister or i are sure about how much time we will have to dedicate to lessons. However we expext that a minimum of eight hours a week would be suitable.
