i would classify myself as a beginner simply because it has been many years since i have used what little french i have been taught over the years.
i was enrolled in french immersion for jr/sr kindergarten and moved to a native community where cree and not french was taught in the younger grades.
found moving back into a white community difficult when it came to being so far behind the french langauge bases (about 5 years at this point).
i am apply to uofa for language and culture and need to have profiencent french skills to pass an equivilancy test to be accepted, jan/may admission.
i am looking to start at the beginning and advance accordingly.
i need an individual who is patient and who can make it fun. i am a very hands on individual, but also need to read and write for the information to stick. if i can not use what i have learned i will not retain it.
as for time to dedicate, i will dedicate as much time as i need to, my chosen career feild will require i be bilingual.

R eason for Learning the Language - My fiance's parents do not speak English, however; I have always wanted to learn the language as my best friend from childhood is Portuguese as well and I have always been close with her family, therefore; I have been around/loved the culture for many years before meeting my fiance.

How much time to dedicate to your language - As much as possible! A classroom environment at least once a week.
Qual ities for teacher or class - small class size and calm teacher.
