Hi there, I will need to learn how to speak vietnamese. In person 1-2 times each week for a semester will be what I probably want to start with, but I am open to suggestion. I am also currently taking my second semester of mandarin at langara. I can't seem to find any college that offers ubc at a reasonable rate. What is you rate? I prefer to learn in a group, but am very open. Thank-you.

I am a beginner who would like to learn the language to converse with Indian co-workers (we outsource to India and have a multi-cultura l office) as well to converse with friends parents who speak little to no English.
I am able to spend an hour each lesson and am willing to spend the time it takes to learn the language.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient and understanding . I speak English and French and look forward to a third language.

Hello,
My daughter (12 years of age) and I are interested in learning ASL through either small group work or with just us. We know the alphabet, some simple phrases, etc.
Kedra (my daughter) is constantly signing me, and we wish to learn more in order to fulfill her interests and to keep my brain from atrophying :). I took a beginner's ASL course about 20 years ago and have taught my daughter what little I remember.
My daughter is gifted and will be very keen to do her best.
Sinc e I have a neurological disability, I would prefer individual lessons be in my house, but my husband would be willing to drive us if that is not convenient or if a small class is available.
