Planning a trip to India sometime between Jan and March of 2010. An absolute novice in need of learning enough 'basics' to get by while there. Can dedicate no more than 10 hours a week which includes study and practice outside of lessons. Not interested in becoming grammatically proficient when it comes to writing, rather proficient in speaking (first) and reading (second). Looking for a teacher that is patient, willing to verbally repeat words/phrases , etc. numerous times and has had experience working with learning disabled students.

I would like to learn Burmese because I have an interest in the culture. Also, I hope to travel there in the future.
I have a very basic conversationa l level. I cannot read or write. I would like to learn the alphabet, reading, writing and I would like to improve my speaking skills. Speaking Burmese is my primary goal, but I know a grasp of the alphabet is crucial in this.
I would like to study 1 to 5 hours each week, depending on trainer availablity.
I would like a kind, caring teacher who is very patient. I would like him/her to have high expectations for me and push me to succeed.

I am learning Spanish so that I can become a fully fluent, certified Bilingual teacher in Texas.
I would classify my proficiency level as a beginning intermediate.
Grammar and conversation are both skills in which I need to improve.

I want to further develop my Mandarin and learn Japanese to have a competative edge in the job market. Also, I am slightly embarassed that though I am Chinese, I can't read/write. I have a deep interest in Japanese culture and business.
I speak Mandarin at a basic conversationa l level.
I am a complete beginner in Japanese.
I need to improve my reading/writi ng in Mandarin as well as my vocabulary.
I need to learn everything in Japanese.
I would like to dedicate 2 hours in tutoring time per week to each language. I would, of course, study at home as well.
