Very patient and encouraging teacher! I found Yeongmi on this web site and asked her to help me learn the Korean language. We immediately started lessons at her house, where she greets me at the door and welcomes me in with a cup of tea. As a language instructor, she focuses on building conversation skills. She takes as many shortcuts as possible in order to get you learning to actually speak the language. Within four lessons, starting from very little, I was having a basic conversation in Korean with her! She also punctuates her lessons with culture points. Her style is laid-back, she is abundantly patient, she doesn't get frustrated or mean: she just lets me, as the student, go at my own pace. If something needs to be repeated multiple times, she will do so without complaint or exasperation. When I became a little discouraged, she offered boosts of encouragement. And she is delighted to answer questions! A very kind and warm instructor. I'm moving out of the city so I can't continue lessons with her, which is a shame.
