I am a beginner in Greek and I want to learn this language because I live in Greece. I like history and Literature so much, maybe a course that have texts about those subjects can be nice to me, I want the focus on speaking, but of course, the other skills must be required too. I think 2 hours lesson with a teacher per week is enougth to me because i study so much by myself.

I have three young boys aged 7, 9 and 11. They have been learning greek at the local Greek School, however I am no longer happy with the service they provide. I am looking for a teacher who can spend about 1 -2 hours a week, preferably a Tuesday afternoon between 3.30pm-6pm. The boys are currently in years 2,4 and 6 respectively. I am looking for a vibrant teacher who will excite my children about learning Greek. At the moment they are being taught by 70year olds who have no teaching strategies. I would like to improve their reading and speaking.

I am coming to Athens, at the British School, from the 20th of June to the 3rd of July 2010. I would like to arrange a series of private lessons, through the period, to improve my modern Greek. I work at Durham University, UK, department of Classics. I speak Italian, English and French. I am also very proficient in Ancient Greek, which I teach at University level (from beginner to advanced). As for Modern Greek, I am a post-beginner (perhaps intermediate)
