I would like to learn Sinhalese because i have recently got married and my wife is from Columbo and speaks fluent Sinhalese. We are both Teachers at an inner city school in London. We recently spent 5 weeks in Sri Lanka and I learnt a bit of the language but i am certainly a beginner. I do not need to learnt to write the language, i just want to learn conversationa l language. I am happy to dedicate as much time to the lessons as possible, hopefully on a weekly basis.
