I am a retired teacher who has been trying to learn mandarin for 10 monts now. I would like to spend some time (one month?) in Thailand in november of this year and improve my chinese with a native chinese teacher who speaks mandarin. I would like to find a place somewhere in Thailand, but if possible not in Bankok, rather in the north side of the country.
I would really be pleased if in that place I could also find a sort of temple or monastry to practice meditation.
I am 61, male, and I can speak English too.

I have an intermediate level for writing and reading. My speaking is a bit less, however. I have had 4 months of full-time classes in Sweden earlier this year (2006).
I am learning for conversation purposes. I also enjoy learning languages. I have some german language as well.
I want to take language lessons twice a week with a larger group of people so I can practice speaking as much as possible.
I would like to have a native Swedish- speaking teacher. A friendly, outgoing and patient person would be nice as well.
