I have taken several intro Hindi classes (while studying in India, at UCLA, + through the IACC in Los Angeles), but need regular practice time with skilled teacher. Speaking skills are number one, but I would also like to practice reading (have very very basic knowledge of devanagri). I can only take lessons in the evenings and/or weekends b/c I work full-time, but am interested in lessons 1-3 times a week. I am looking for a teacher who is a native Hindi speaker with teaching experience--I have books, worksheets + drills (I just need someone with knowledge of Hindi to correct my work + practice speaking with). I am interested in learning Hindi b/c I think it is a beautiful language and for academic/care er advancement.

I have spent four summers in Budapest, and I can muster 'survival' Hungarian: restaurants, public transportatio n, etc. Now I would like to learn the language more formally, with coversational ability the ultimate goal.
I am interested in a four-week eight-to-ten session arrangment in June, 2004. Continuation in the fall woulb be possible. I am a graduate student, so study is a common habit already.

Hello,
I was born in Iran, but left at a very young age. I can speak at a conversationa l level, but am looking to learn Farsi more comprehensive ly. I can read and write at a 2nd grade level.
I am looking for someone who, at a minimum, has an advanced degree in either Literature or Education. In other words, someone who can provide me with structured lessons about grammar, sentence structure, and eventually, poetics. My English skills are formidable, and hope to match them with my Farsi one day.

i am just beginning to learn icelandic. i am learning it because i am fascinated with the culture and am hoping to study there.
