My proficiency in the Croatian language is very much of the beginner level. I would love to learn Croatian as my father is Croatian and when I travel to visit my family I would like to have an understanding of the language. Another reason is I am currently training to become a pilot, so any languages that I can converse in comfortably are very beneficial for my career. I currently have basically no knowledge of the Croatian language so I am looking to start from the ground. I am primarily committed to my studies in aviation, so I would need to study the language part-time (ie. evenings). I would like to be able to study in a fairly relaxed way as I still do have other priorities, but I am very focussed. So if my teacher is relaxed and patient that would suit me well.

Profieciency level: Beginner. I have taken a CD course (Pimsleur Approach). I have been working with a Croatian office for 2 years and visit regularly. Although they speak excellent English, I am enjoying being able to say a few things in Croatian, and want to take it further. My purpose is purely for self-improvem ent.
I now need help to understand grammar (endings!!), sentence construction conventions and to widen my vocabulary.
I am looking for 1-2 hours per week, depending on ease of getting to location. I don't mind joining in a small group, or having some lessons 1-1.
Qualiti es I am looking for are that the lessons enable me to understand how to use the language (explanations ) but also that they are light and fun.

I would like to first take a beginner's class, and then advance. I need to learn this language in order to communicate with my inlaws and friends. I defintitely need to learn how to engage in conversations in Croatian. So far, I know the basic words, and I can read it pretty well. I would prefer to attend a class 4 days a week, but less than that is okay too. I'm looking for a teacher that can teach me everything from the alphabet, correct grammar, and most importantly, to speak without an accent.
