I am an English male who has recently moved to Lebanon to live and work.
I wish to learn Arabic to improve my situtaion from a personal and professional level.
The refore I am looking for a private tutor to teach me.
I am prepared to donate my early evenings and/or Saturday and Sunday afternoons/ev enings. What ever it takes!
I am initially interested in business language and conversationa l, however grammar would be benificial too!
I find it difficult to pronounce some Arabic words so I am looking for a tutor who is very very patient and someone who has a structure to the curriculum as I tried a tutor I came across in a newspaper who was very dissapointing , his teaching technique was inadequate for my needs.

I am in Lebanon until April 2009 and would like to learn to communicate in Arabic (Lebanese dialect preferably, or MSA) as much as possible in this time. I am in the country doing research and work in conflict management, so my budget is unfortunately very small. (If you file taxes in the USA, I can offer you a tax receipt from my registered organization in exchange for your help!)
I love languages and am a very quick learner. I already know the Arabic alphabet and can read most anything, although I don't know what I am saying! I would be happy with group or private classes, and would be willing to go just about anywhere in the Beirut area if someone would be able and willing to teach me.
