I wish to learn hebrew due to the fact that i have alot of Jewish friendsa nd i plan to travel to Israel in 12 months time. I am only at beginner level i know how to start a conversation and simple things but that is all. I cannot read or write i know some letters but not many. I wish to speak good hebrew within this 12 months time so i would like to know how much time the teacher thinks i should dedicate to achieve my goal. I am looking for someone who can teach me well and has honesty in if they think i can achieve my goals.

Hello,
I have recently completed 18 months of intensive Chinese language training, including 5 months in Beijing (reaching an advanced diploma level). I would love to continue to learn Chinese and use it on a regular basis so that my skills do not deteriorate. I already feel like it is slipping away!
I would like to do approximately 2-3 hours a week of either one on one or a small group class of both colloquial and news related material.

I am interested in learning the French language. I have no experience in learning French but it is a language that I have always wanted to study. I want to spend at least one lesson a week learning, so that I can get some immediate progress with the language. I am looking for a teacher that I can connect with. Who can give me private lessons so that I have immediate results, and who can possibly come to my home. I would also like my teacher to give advice on language to use when travelling to french speaking countries and who can also give advice on how to further develop the language in the future.

I shall be working international ly and feel that French is a more usable language to be competent with.
I have at teh very est a few words of French that would make the most tolerant of frenchmen cringe if they were to here me attmept to pronounce these snippets.
Improvements would not be difficult; Grammar, Pronunciation , Retention.
I tend to use the languages that I am attempting to learn during the day and when ever I am speaking. As much as I can during the day.
Quali ties that my instructor would need are patince and empathy. I have worked overseas and have been stymied by my lack of communication skills level. I am now exceptionally tolerant of people that have difficulty with English; particularly the Australian varient of English that we tend to use here in Australia. A sense of humour would no doubt also be of value, especially a dark, oblique sense of humour; or at least a tolerance of a dark, oblique sense of humour
