Croatian was my first language as a child, but growing up in the U.S., it is not so much that I have forgotten Croatian, rather I'm not sure I ever knew proper grammar. It is important to me that I get a handle on the grammar from the basics, since with merely speaking it, I have not rules and continue to make the same mistakes over and over.
I want to correct my grammar in speaking because we speak only Croatian to our one-year-old daughter, and plan to do so with new other baby on the way. Even though she hears correct Croatian from my husband, who has only been in the U.S. for 10 years, I think it is important the children hear it correctly from their mother, as well. Besides, I often can hear that I'm saying something incorrectly, but don't know how to fix it -- very frustrating.
I don't know how much time I can dedicate to language lessons - probably just a a few hours a week - due to working full time and having a small child, soon to be more than one.
The only qualities I am looking for in a teacher is patience in explaining fundamental grammar to me from the very basics onward.

I want to learn the bosnian language, I am at the beginner level. I can speak and understand a little bit. The reason why I want to learn this language is because I want my daughter to learn it from me. I am very dedicated and motivated to learn and want spend as much time as needed to learn how to speak bosnian.
