I am an American living in Israel for the last six years and will continue, for the rest of my life, to live here. I have married a sabra and we have three children, with one more on the way. My husband and I would both like to learn French before beginning business school in Fontainebleau this fall. We will be vacationing in Tel Aviv this summer and hope to use this opportunity to learn French with an emphasis on conversationa l skills. We have little to no experience in French. We are both native English speakers, and our lessons will need to be English-to-Fr ench. We intend to take lessons 3-4 times a week over the course of roughly one month. Our ideal teacher would be able to meet in Tel Aviv with a conversationa l, rather than textbook, approach, including various social and light-busines s settings.

I am a complete beginner with no background whatsoever looking to start from the ground up. I want to learn a new language and mandarin seems like the most logical choice from almost any standpoint.
I would like to find a tutor who can meet from 1-3 times a week in the evenings and who can at least start teaching in English. I understand that learning in the language is far more effective but since I have NO background they should be able to speak English.
