My husband and I would like to learn Bulgarian as we are planning to but a house in Bulgaria in the next couple of years for a holiday home and eventually would consider moving there. We have no previous experience of Bulgarian so would need to start from scratch, my husband has never learnt a foreign language before. I have taken French and Italian lessons, have a degree in Italian and have taught English but have absolutley no experience of Bulgarian. Ideally we would like to dedicate a couple of hours a week to lessons with a couple of hours of practice in our own time.
We are looking for a competent, patient teacher who has the ability to set tasks at different levels if required. We would also like someone who has materials prepared and can give us exercises or additional material to help our studies.

I would like to learn Bulgarian for two reasons. The first of which is that my parents will be moving there within a few years and I would like to learn the languge for when I am there visiting them. My second reason for wanting to learn Bulgarian is that I wish to do some research into the farming practices in Bulgaria for my degree honour project.
I have a basic knowledge of the alphabet and some basic words such as foods, colours and a handfull of others. It would be benificial to me if I could find a tutor that could teach me agricultural phrases as well as the language and conversation.
