Hello, I am English but my I am Greek from my Mother's side. I've been slowly learning Greek my whole life by spending time with close Greek family every year. I am not a beginner but have skipped the traditional learning from books so my grammar is sketchy... I have a very good understanding of Greek but I lack confidence to participate fully in conversation. I can't find the words since I don't practice using them, I've done too much of only listening! I want to advance my learning by speaking in deeper conversations instead of just the basics; by going over grammar to check my understanding ; by getting help in how to learn new vocabulary and how to use new phrases. I am looking for a skilled teacher that will know how to push me to the next step of speaking but also be encouraging.
I will definitely commit to 1 lesson per week, maybe 2, if I find the right teacher. I am in Lamia, Greece this year May-July, my boyfriend lives here so am here regularly. I am looking firstly for in-person lessons in Lamia as soon as possible and I may like to continue with the same teacher online when I leave.
