I have some experience speaking spanish. I am mexican/canad ian...my mother is mexican.My mother came from a family which only spoke spanish and my father is canadian and didnt want any of his children to speak spanish b/c he was afraid we would talk about him. Born in California around all of my mothers family...move d here when I was 6 yrs old(missouri that is...NO ONE SPOKE SPANISH IN 1980!!!!)I learned quite a bit in high school however me education needs vast improvment! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

I am at an intermediate level. I understand a lot more than I can speak. I am learning Spanish for work as a school administrator . I work extensively with Spanish speaking families. I need improvement in the preterite and future tenses as well as practice in improving the flow of my conversation. I would like to spend 3 - 4 hours a day (weekdays) for at least the month of June and then probably a have a couple of lessons a week after that once school starts again. I am looking for a teacher who is familiar with school settings especially at the elementary level. I have also been translating letters to parents, newsletters etc. so I want to continue to learn to write in Spanish as well.

I am curretly in college at Devry working on my BA in business. I would like to learn Spanish to be able to communicate with the many people that only speak spanish here in Florida. I also thought it would help me when I get ready to look for a job. I'd like to dedicate 2-3 days a week to learning my lauguage. I'd prefer going to a small class, and doing some online learning.
