I'm Greek and growing up I gave up on learning Greek but now I realized it's something I should really know. I know basic words to get me by like 'how are you?' Basic conversation. Very very basic. I can't write Greek at all or read it which is love to learn.

It has been a personal goal of mine to learn a new language for as long as I can remember. Recently, some of my friends and I decided to plan a cross-country trip to Europe in just over a year's time, and one of the places we hope to visit is Greece. It is important to us that we become comfortable in speaking basic levels (as a minimum)of the countries we visit, and Greek was an easy choice for me to want to learn as I already had an interest in this language.
I am a beginner, knowing only a couple of basic phrases and expressions. I will take improvement in any and all areas, but initially I would like to become better at conversationa l Greek.
I would be willing to donate a couple of hours a week to learning, as I would like to become as proficient as possible before our trip.
It is essential to me that teachers be willing to give their lessons online, as it is likely I live too far away for in-person lessons. The size of the class does not matter to me, although I would prefer having smaller classes so that the teachers can spend more time helping the students.

I am looking for a Greek teacher for my 6 year old child. My child has a very basic understanding of a few Greek words only.
I would like the emphasis to be on conversation rather than written Greek.
I would prefer the lessons to be in our home and to be one or two lessons per week.
The teacher must be experienced in teaching a young child.

I am a beginner in the Greek language and I want to learn because my father is Greek but never spoke to me in Greek when I was growing up. I am looking for lessons once a week for up to two hours with a teacher who is understanding and able to challenge me yet also to teach to my abilities. I have a friend who is in a similar position to me and we would like to learnt together. We both have a basic understanding of the language and have just finished a basic course but have had no further experience.

I am a native English speaker and a speaker of German, Dutch, and French. Learning and teaching languages is a passion of mine; I have also taught English, German, and French. Now I am motivated to begin to learn Greek because my boyfriend is Greek. My goals are to learn some basics. The most important are speaking and listening, but I also would like to learn basic reading and writing. I live and work in Amsterdam.
