My fiancee is brasilian and all of his family speaks only portuguese, I travelled to brasil in 2004 for 7 months and picked up quite a bit, but i feel like i am losing it here at home in canada! Hi. My friend and I are interested in starting lessons in German....bot h of us are beginners, and would like lessons together, perhaps once or twice a week. If only one per week, maybe they could be a bit longer. We want to learn German simply for personal development.. ..both of us travel quite frequently and have found that german would be a valuable skill, as many germans also travel and speaking to them in their native tongue would be a nice change. We think that a teacher should be quite friendly and approachable, and be willing to teach in a relaxed manner and atmosphere.

I would like to learn both Japanese and Russian because of career advancement. Also, it would go good if I can learn the language as well as their cultures.
My proficiency level for both languages are NONE, so basically I need improvement for everything. Currently, I can dedicate a lot in my lessons as my job begins next June.
