I am a beginner, knowing only very few sinhalese words but am very intrested to learn. My boyfriend and his family are from columbo and speek alot of sinhalese, i would like to join in there conversations and understand the language.
I think 2-3 days a week couple of hours each time would be good.
I would like a teacher with alot of patients, because if is a hard language to learn and it might take a while. Also remembering that i am probably less than a beginner.

I recently returned from Sri Lanka where I spent 5 months, although I have picked up a few words and phrases I would like to learn more and also to learn to read Sinhalese. I am hoping to go back to Sri Lanka next year and would like to be able to speak to Sri Lankan people in their own language.
