I have interest in learning Russian as a beginner as well as for my 4 year old daughter. My daughter was speaking russian a year ago and has learned english quickly. We want her to keep her hertiage.
I would like to start with learning the cerillic alphabet. I have difficulty with the letters.
M y major goal is to have my daughter learn at a young age.
I don't have any idea how many hours per week would be required for her.

My proficiency in Russian is very low. I do have a beginners grasp of the Croatian language, which I'm told is somewhat similar to Russian.
I would like to learn Russian to further develop the necessary skills in order to do business in Russia. I am currently working for a firm which deals with many Russian companies, thus I would like to learn the language. Aside from career advancement, I feel that Russian is a beautiful language and I have a personal interest as well.
I would like to dedicate as much time as possible to learn Russian. At this point 3 classes a week would most likely fit my schedule.
In general, the qualities in a teacher must include: personable, patient, and simply a desire to teach. I feel that with my devotion to learning the language, and the teacher's devotion to teaching, the outcome will be very good.

Proficiency level = will finish Russ 202 at University of Washington in December.
Why learning = personal interest; girlfriend
Areas need improvement = Genitive plural, Instrumental case, conversation/ oral practice, building up a larger vocabulary... .
Time of dedication = possibly 4 hours a week of in-person practice; i go to school full time also, so prefer times on Monday, Friday, or the weekend.
T eacher qualities = can create lessons for me, and has time to have conversation practice...pe rsonalized lessons when needed.
