I completed three years of course work in Spanish during high school. Much of this has been forgotten, but I intend to learn it all again. I am presently using the Pimsleur program to advance my studies, but find myself needing conversation practice to enhance my working knowledge.
I have completed 2 semesters of course work in Japanese during my college career. I am also using Pimsleur software for Japanese, and again need conversation practice.
Mandarin-Chine se and Arabic I have no experience in at all besides a little dabbling online. I want to learn one of these.
I am interested in these foreign languages for a few reasons. Japanese culture and people have always fascinated me and so it only seemed logical to try and learn the language. I am also applying for a government position upon graduation and a working knowledge of these languages will make me exponentially more competitive.

I am an advanced beginner learning mostly from books, CDs, and language programs online. I want to learn to communicate in Spanish mostly for traveling purposes but also I would like to know another language. I need help in all areas but particularly in understanding conversations with other Spanish-speak ing people. I usually spend 2 hours per day studying Spanish. I would like to have a teacher who knows the Spanish language well and can help me improve my listening skills.

I am currently taking a beginners course (Spanish 1a) at a language school. Even though the teacher is good, the course moves on too slowly and I find myself getting bored and frustrated. I deally, I am lloking to continue with an interactive, faster paced small group classes or well-structur ed private lessons once I have finished my initial course mid-March.
I am looking for a class/tutor in the Eastern suburbs or Sydney. A tutor who could travel to Coogee for the lessons would be given preference.
