I'm a beginner in all the languages I have chosen to learn. I want to learn Spanish because I have a lot of South American friends & I want to speak to them in their native tongue. I want to learn French because I have plans of studying & perhaps working in Canada in the future. I want to learn Korean because I like watching Korean TV shows but I have no idea what they are talking about at all. I want to dedicate 1 to 1 1/2 hours per day to my language lessons.
