My fiancee is Telugu. I'm interested in understanding and speaking Telugu fluently to be able to communicate with my fiancees family. I have no background in Telugu and just know a few words here and there from online resources that I've found. I am a Korean American. I have never been able to speak Korean but I would like to gain a little proficiency in order to be able to speak to my 2 year old son. I am hoping that he can learn the language and become bilingual someday. I hope to give him a head start by exposing him to the language at home and as he gets older, have him enrolled in more formal classes. I have studied Korean a little so I am not a complete novice but I would still be considered a beginner. I hope to find a tutor who will primarily help me with conversationa l Korean so I can speak at a rudimentary level. I would like to meet with a tutor once a week.

I just graduated high school this June 2012 and am planning on moving to South Korea to be an ESL teacher in the next 3-4 years. I'd eventually like to become fluent, but right now I'm a beginner in the language who knows a handful of random words but couldn't put a sentence together. I'm a student at a local college and work part time so right now I'd only be able to do 1-2 lessons per week, but I am willing to put in as much independent study time as my schedule allows. I'm looking for a knowledgeable teacher who is able to be patient and helpful while teaching me the language. I live in Edmonds (about 15 minutes North of Seattle) but am willing to travel to Seattle for lessons.
