I am looking for people who speak Scottis Gaelic who might be able to offer a bit of time in helping me grasp the language. I am a beginner with a Gaelic dictionary. I am willing to pay a small amount of money for this great help. Please contact me if you know the language or how to better ascertain the language. I am also interested in learning Latin. I am at beginner level. I tried the Gaelic Academy through Skype. I need a slower pace because most of the 'beginners' in that class have had experience with the language prior. I think I would do better in person. I would like to do Saturday classes. Even tutoring would be nice at my home.

I know some words and phrases so I am basically am starting from scratch. This is a dream of mine to learn the lanugage and be able to go over to Scotland and actually speak with people using it. I am aware that there are very few people who still speak it but I'd love to bring it back to life again. It is the lanugage of my ancestors. I hate to see it die out.

My proficiency level is beginner. I love other cultures, so I decided to become a linguist. Since I love Scotland I wanted to learn Gaelic. Particular areas of improvment would be conversation (understandin g what the other person is saying.) I want my teacher to be able to connect with me. He or she needs to be kind and patient if I don't understand at first, and just fun to be around when we have lessons.

I am a beginner level....We just inherited some property in the Highlands and I can get a job over there for a few months a year but need to be able to speak Gaelic..
I will dedicate as much time thats needed to learn...
I already have a PhD in Exercise Science so teaching myself to study isnt an issue.
