I am a beginner (only English speaking). I want to learn Urdu because I really want to learn another language. Additionally it is my goal to travel in regions where that would be the predominant language spoken.
Sinc e I don't know the language I will need major help in grammar, vocab, writing, etc. I have a strong desire to learn, so I will be dedicated and practice a lot. I am looking for someone who will be fairly patient, but push me to learn. I like written and verbal teaching.

Learning to read and write in Thai has been a long time personal goal of mine, I can carry on a conversation in Thai, based off self taught methods (listening to Thai music, watching movies etc) but conversationa lly it is an area I would like to be more proficient in- so maybe I'm at intermediate speaking level and very beginning in reading and writing? Since I am motivated to learn, I plan on dedicating as much as 1-3 times a week to language learning, depending on how we can coordinate our schedules. I live in Seattle, WA and work a full time job, if evening or weekend classes are available, that would be preferred. I'm looking for a teacher who is patient, someone who can challenge and obviously, help me reach my goals. I will give my best shot and I can only hope that my teacher will do the same :)
