I am a beginner in spanish. I know a little from previous classes in high school, but i want to become fluent with spanish. I am learning because my boyfriend is Hispanic and his family speaks no english. i want to be able to speak and understand them. it will also be good for my career and life. Spanish is now a big part of America, so i need to start learning. I will dedicate a few hours a week. I am looking for a patient teacher that is really good at what they do.

Ever since the 3rd grade I have wantd to learn Polish! Some day I want to become fluent in it, but I need a lot of help in pronounciatio n and in spelling/gram mer. I have taken Intro I and II at the USDA Grad School, but have had about 3 months off. I work with US-China business issues at the Department of Commerce, and hope to continue that work in China in the next two years. Areas for improvement? Everything! I am available 3 hrs one night per week, as this is how the USDA classes were organized. I am looking for some structure in the lessons. Also, ability to interact with Chinese in the DC community and be involved with China cultural events. I would not like my learning to be limited to the classroom.

I would consider myself a biginner on Italian, though I can understand most of it, as I have been learning on my own for about 6 months now and since my native language is Spanish it hasn't been that hard. I'm trying to learn Italian, because I like the culture, and plan to visit Italy in the near future. Also my new job requires Spanish and Italian Speaking people. This is a great opportunity for me. I feel that I need practice more than anything. Having conversations with someone that can correct me when I say things wrong will close the loop for me. I'm looking for someone that can teach casually, but at the same time has a plan, already developed.
