My son just finished 8th grade, and we are looking for either a private language tutor. or school for this summer (June-August 2007). He is very smart, but he has no experience at all with Chinese.

I have been teaching myself Gaeilge with the help of tapes, books and online resources. I can hold a polite conversation, but have no one to practice anything more in depth with. Because no one in the area knows the language, it is difficult for me to maintain a grasp on what I have and take steps forward. I am dedicated to my personal study time and can practice on my own if I were able to count on at least a few hours a week of study with a class or tutor.

I have taken 3 years of french in high school, so I am familiar with the language, but cannot truly speak it. I am learning it for personal reasons. I would like to dedicate as much time as possible to this, maybe meet several times a week perhaps, or see how each session is handled.
