I would like to learn the basics of Latin and Czech in order to gain enterance into a masters degree program in early modern/mediev al history. I will be focusing on the writen language moreso than the spoken. If (as I will likely find) Czech is not an option I would like to learn German instead.
I am willing to look into courses in the Ottawa region, the Ottawa vally and the kingston region.

I am trying to learn Cantonese, to integrate into my girlfriend's family.
I am an advanced beginner, with several dozen hours of instruction, using Pimsleur level 1 audio course (30 CDs). I would continue with that program, but I found out there they didn't make level 2 and 3!
I'm self employed and would prefer to take instruction during the day on week days, up to an hour a day. Ideally it would be by skype or gtalk so I don't have to leave home.

-I am currently in the Dominican Republic for work. I will be here until 2012 and not knowing the language for that many years would be a true travesity.
-Beginner.
-Basic conversation to start. I would like to be able to understand and speak the basics to survive for the next few months. My Contract is rotation-base d, which means I'll be back in Canada for 2 weeks every 2 months (6/2). If the lessons are going well, I would like to continue and venture into more difficult aspects of the language like grammer and various other written aspects.
-I will be in Canada starting next week (July 27-August 7) and would like to get a rapid program to understand the basics. After that, if it goes well, I would like to continue online for the duration of my stay here in the DR until my next visit to Canada 6 weeks later.
-Some one's who patient with a young beginner such as myself. Rates are a big deciding factor since this will be a multi-year commitment.
