Right now I know absolutely no Russian. I've started to learn the alphabet sounds on my own and listening exercises to get used to the cadence, but I know I'll need help to actually learn effectively. I don't have a specific purpose for learning other than that it's something I've always wanted to do.
As an ESL teacher (my day job) I know what works best for most students. I would like the presentation of a new concept or vocab introduced in a contextualize d way. Practise exercises, extra work etc. I am willing to buy any text you think would be a good base to follow and am able to afford about 2 hours/week of face-to-face instruction.

I have no understanding of Hindi except for a few words I've heard in the house. My parents first language and my first language is Hindi, but they learned a bit because they were born and bred in India. I want to learn this language for my own personal reasons, being on Indian ethnicity I feel I should know one of the languages of my country. Also, I act and think knowing this language would come in handy for roles. I need to learn Hindi from foundation to expert.
I can dedicated 5hrs a week to this course including study time. I want a patient but challenging teacher. Hope it's you!:)
