I am a beginner, however, I lived in Germany while in the Army 20 years ago. I have been 3 times in the last 2 years and would like to have basic communication skills.
I travel a lot and I have a very awkward schedule. I would like to try a once a week frequency. At a minimum twice a month.

I vist Thailand once or twice a year to visit my best friend who lives there.
I need the basic language skills to speak to his wife and some friends
I have a knowledge of other languages , French , Spanish , Farsi and have spoken Polish and German although though non use I have lost a good bit of those two languages.

I have completed the 90 lessons of the Pimsleur Spanish course. But am moving to Panama in a year and I need to be FLUENT! I need to conjugate verbs quickly in conversation, and listen more quickly - it goes too fast! I need a lot more vocabulary and slang.
For a while I would like to work about an hour a day with a teacher, one-on-one. Then after about a month figure out what we do from there. I'd rather do it in person than phone, because I get so much more from the physical gesticulation , and watching someone's mouth helps me understand what they are saying.
