I am here in Romania from the US on a 2 year visa. I have visited Romania 5 times prior to arriving here in July 2007.
I am here staying with some Romanian friends, who are slowly teaching me as best they can. Unfortunately it's very slow going. My primary function here is to take care of my 2 year old goddaughter. I really need to learn Romanian in order to communicate better with her, and to function successfully on a daily basis.
I'm looking for a teacher who is patient, humorous, and engaging in his/her teaching style. 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks' would seem to apply to me (I'm 45 years old), since my success so far has been minimal. I've tried language tapes, etc, with little to no success.
