I would love learn the turkish language, it interests me, iv always wanted to learn another language fluently, i have been to turkey many occacsions and i think its a gorgous country, i love it. My boyfriend is also a cypriot turk which also inspires me more to learn the language. At the moment i know very very basic turkish i.e, merhaba, tamam, seni seviyorum, ne and numbers breifly up to 10 but im not too confident with spelling or prenounciatio n. I want to dedicate as much time into learning this language as possible but wont to have to pay a fortune to learn a language which you could pick up by yourself abit slower by being in the actual country for a while (which unfortuntatly not everyone has the money to do so ) The qualitys im looking for within my tutor are, friendly, easy to get on with, i can ask as many questions without feeling awkward or annoying the teacher by doing so, a teacher who can teach not only verbaly but also visualy ( i memorise things better by pictures or something to remind you of a word/sentence & what it means)

I'm currently learning Gaelic (Scottish). I've taken level 1 and 2 short courses from Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.
It's the first time I've used an online tutor so I can't really say how much time I need, but I want to improve my language skills and improve in general to prepare me for higher levels of training from SMO in the future.

Greetings, I am an absolute beginner and have no experience speaking or writing Amharic but I am going to do some voluntary work in Ethiopia in December 2012 for 4 months and need to know how to communicate. I will be working in a school for disabled children in Bahir Dar aiming to help train staff in how to work effectively with profoundly disabled children and those with communication problems.
I am willing to dedicate all my free time to learning Amharic but as I work full time with profoundly disabled children here in UK that only leaves evenings and weekends. I will need a very patient teacher as it has been many years since I myself have been in a classroom but I will work hard and am committed to this process
