I want to be a translator, so i would like to explore my options i already know french, some Croatian and Polish. I am very attentive and interested in any language thrown at me. I dedicate all my energy into learning and make sure all pronunciation , gender, and, or case is precise. The qualities in a teacher that i look for is if she will make you actually understand the language not just give a some words and tell you to copy them down, i want a teacher who will make sure you know the subject before moving on to another.

I am Iranian by descent, have very basic reading and writing skills, decent conversation skills, and understand quite bit, if not everything. I am seeking language instruction purely for personal reasons, to be able to communicate more in Persian circles, to learn to read and write like an adult. I would like to be able to communicate easily, instead of in fragmented sentences/tho ughts.
I am looking for someone who is very patient, and very diligent. Someone who gives assignments, and follows a set plan. I would like to better my grammar and vocabulary, and I think this requires a good set of materials.
I'd like to have one or two lessons per week of 1 1/2 hours. I can devote a bit of time every day to homework and reading.

I plan on getting an ESL degree and also attempting to goto Slovenia to teach english. I know that Slovene is similar to many other languages in eastern europe, so if I learn Slovene I should be able to get around in other countries, minus a few grammatical and pronunciation diferences. I am a beginner at the language, but I know a few words and phrases from software I've purchased as well as from friends of mine that are Slovenian. I feel like I need improvement in all areas, I would like to apply for the Slovenian as a second language certificate and maybe get my citizenship. I can dedicate up to 2-3 years, I dont know how much material there is for Slovene, but I am anxious to learn. I am looking for a college-like course where i can learn the basics of the language and everyday speech.
