Searching for private Turkish lessons.
A little about me... I'm 26, have lived in Chicago for the past 3 years and work in advertising (living in Lakeview and working in the West Loop). I've travelled to Turkey twice in the past year to visit with friends, however I know only about 10 words, so communicating in something other than English has been impossible. Because I intend to go back many more times in the future, I thought I might as well give learning the language a chance.
Hi storically, I have a pretty hard time learning languages. I studied Latin for 4 1/2 years between High School and College and remember next to nothing. I studied German for about 2 years and know enough to get around, but not to have in depth conversations or anything like that. Usually language programs go too fast for me... I consider myself pretty intelligent, but something about languages... it's like oil and water.
Any way, if you are looking to take students for private lessons this autumn please reply with any info about your teaching style, location, rates and a little about yourself.

Greetings! I would like to learn Moroccan Arabic as my husband and I are moving there in a few months with our 2 year old daughter. I am a certified elementary school teacher here in Orlando and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UCF, so I have no doubt that I will be able to secure a teaching position there. I would like to learn conversationa l Moroccan Arabic (Darija). The qualities I am looking for in a language teacher are patience, enthusiasm and a native speaker of Darija. I don't think I have time to learn to write it - I have a toddler at home, so that might prove to be too time consuming! I would just like to communicate with my family in Fes. Thanks!
