My reason for wanting to learn Dutch is simple. I am dating a man who lives in Belgium. He speaks english pretty well but none of his friends or family do. When I travel to Belgium I want be able to join in the conversations . I aslo want to be able to read it a little bit so that I can be more independent while in the country.
I am a TOTAL, COMPLETE beginner and have never tried learning a second language. I'm willing to put in VERY MUCH effort to learn as much as I can, about both the language and the culture. I'm willing to dedicate as much time as I can financially afford to.
The qualities I'm looking for in a teacher..some one who is consistant, organized, creative and patient. The perfect person for me would be someone who is just as excited to teach me as I am to learn.
I know that there are many different dialects within this language. The area of my main focus is NorthernBelgi um Zottergem area.

I'm relatively profient in both Spanish and French. I lived in France for three years and had a Spanish mother-in-law for ten years. My 3-year old daughter is half Spanish and goes to Spanish preschool, but has announced she wants to learn French. I'd like to brush up on grammar and practice conversation and have her both listening and participating with me. Probably looking for one hour a week for each language. mondays and Tuesdays are best. Prefer a teacher with a good sense of humor.

Hello,
My name is Perry and I am currently an international student studying in Paris to improve my french language skills. I am in my third year in College(unive rsity) and I am 20 years old. I am an aspiring English as a Second Language teacher. I recently became interested in learning Korean not too long ago. I have started learning the alphabet but I feel as though teaching myself will be way too hard. I would really like some help in my free time from anyone who is willing to help me start learning. I have been dating a Brazilian lady for a few month now and would like to learn
to communicate with her more effectively.
I have only very limited experience with Portuguese, so I'll
have to start at the beginning.
i have no idea how long it will take me to learn, but I'd
like to be able to at least be able to speak to her a little,
but mostly to understand her better, she often finds that she cannot
expre ss herself in English and lapses into Portuguese and leaves me
behind... so i feel I'm missing all the important things she is
trying to say to me.
