This is for y son who is 7 and my daughter who is 5 years old. My husband is Iranian and I am American. Our children are primarily exposed to English, but I would like them to learn Farsi. They are at the age where they can learn quickly and I would like for them to be fluent as they grow older. I would prefer face to face, since they are so young. Thank you.

I am a missionary teacher in West Africa. I have been there a year and a half and will be going back in August.
After living there I realized that it would be beneficial to learn French! I have learned as much French as can be expected for someone living over there. But, the African people use many languages, French and native languages, they go back and forth in one sentence, so I've picked up on some of it. I'd say I am a beginner with some knowledge.
I would like to learn conversationa l French. I am very flexible with times and days, as I am working from home right now until I go back. I do live in Tyler, about 100 miles always, but I can come up one day a week for tutoring.
I am looking for a friendly teacher who can be patient and effective and also can provide me with resources or supplies, strategies to work at home during the week.

I am interested in learning to speak some basic Mandarin Chinese for personal use. I plan to travel on vacation to Taiwan and would like to be able to communicate on a very basic conversationa l level with a limited vocabulary of common, everyday expressions in Mandarin. I am a beginner with no proficiency in the Chinese language. An hour per week of one-to-one, in-person tutoring would be fine, and whether I would be able to afford more or less than that depends on the hourly tutoring rate of the instructor. Regarding qualities I would look for in my lessons and teacher, I have myself been a tutor of Russian language in the past, and currently tutor individuals to improve their English language writing skills, so I would like to have a language instructor who demonstrates a level of patience and good nature similar to what I have shown to my own 'students.'
