Good afternoon,
My name is Paul and my family and I are looking for Chinese language tutoring / classes. Both my wife and I have several years of other languages under our belt. My 14 year old step daughter just completed her first year of Chinese in the 8th grade and will be continuing during her high school years.
Our family is looking to work in either a long term or semi-permanen t basis in China in the not so distant future. Potentially I could teach English or a myriad of computer related subjects while abroad.
We currently work alongside an organization called International Friends, who provide airport transportatio n, short term housing and conversationa l events for incoming international students. We've housed several Chinese students this year already and are excited about taking our next steps in trying to communicate natively with students.
We would like to know your teaching style, organizationa l methods and how you provide lessons. We've looked at institutions like Berlitz and believe they have a proven system, but their prices are extraordinary . Plus, helping out the local students and neighbors in Cleveland economically is a plus.

I want to improve my english level, specially in conversation, I am looking for a teacher who has experience teaching in academies, such as ilingua or berlitz.
I would like to improve conversation, fluency, I have studied english before in my country so I think I have a basis of grammar and I also passed the reading Pert.

I am an MD/PhD student in history at the University of Pennsylvania. My research interests include gender, migration, and health in 20th century Malawi. I have traveled to Malawi twice, but have never taken a course in Chichewa. I would like to learn the language for purposes of historical research and medical practice. I would like to take a course in the fall of 2012 in elementary Chichewa. I would prefer to take the language in person, but would be open to taking it online. I would like to take a twice-weekly course. This course would likely be paid for and offered for credit by the African Languages Department at the University of Pennsylvania.
