My proficiency level is beginner. I'd like to learn Mandarin because I just returned from Beijing where I was taking summer classes and I'd like to return someday. I am a beginner at learning Hebrew. I am learning it because I am a minister and a student in Bible college. I have to learn Hebrew for a Hebrew class that I will be taking shortly.
I am willing to spend 2-5 hours per week learning Hebrew.

Hello,
My name is Jennifer Johnson, and I recently graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language. I will be in Malmo from July 8 to August 17, and have a strong desire to formally study the Swedish language. My partner is a native speaker, which gives me high motivation to learn. Not only do I want to communicate with him in his native tongue, but I respect his culture and wish to deepen my understanding . My own great grandparents emigrated from Sweden to Pennsylvania, so I have always been interested, and now have the opportunity.
Professionall y, I feel learning a second language will make me a better ESL teacher, and open doors for a future of teaching English in Sweden.
