Teaching Approach

I believe that to learn a second language students must listen to the target language within meaningful contexts. Students must learn the new vocabulary and grammatical structures needed for communication and must be given opportunities to put the newly gained knowledge into practice. In order to make the input comprehensibl e I use the Teacher Produced Response (TPR) approach. I use gestures, signs, and demonstration s to make sure students understand the context of conversations .

Program Description

I am a certified TESOL, Portuguese, and Spanish teacher in the United States. I have over seven years of experience teaching K-12 students. My lessons include the balanced use of vocabulary and grammatical structures necessary for communication in the target language.

I teach Spanish in a CT public high school. I am former semi-professi onal soccer player. I coach soccer as an extra curricular activity. My wife also teaches Spanish. Our goal is to move overseas for a few years to teach Spanish or English in Dubai. We consider it to be a great opportunity for an enriching experience.
