Teaching Approach

My success came from reading, conversation and drills. I have drills I learned 30 years ago that are still fresh in mind. They form the building blocks. Like with learning the piano, for instance, you have to learn the basics and keep practicing every day.

I am a certified translator with 30 years of experience. I have studied, worked and lived in Germany and Austria.

Teaching Experience

T urning toring students and recent immigrants to the United States, Austria and Germany.
I studied in Austria and have worked as a professional translator for 30 years. I am probably best suited for high school, college and adult students whose goals are to build a solid foundation and not just phrases or quick methods.
I am a certified translator through TransPerfect, one of the largest language service providers in the world.

Cost of Lessons

75 US per hour, sometimes I go over an hour but don’t charge more. You will have my undivided attention. I am particularly good at conversation practice and identifying what a student needs to learn and directing them.
