I encourage students to get into the flow of conversation. I try to find topics that are of interest to my students to make lessons more fun and interesting, and hopefully more memorable!
These are some of the teaching materials I use:
- Articles about recent news and what is happening in the world
- Subjects like art, science and entertainment
- Recordings or videos and discussion
- We can look at specific requests like practising for a speech or exam
- All of these I can do while giving advice on how to say things in natural sounding English!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read about the English program I am offering. If you are looking for high quality English Language tuition at a very affordable price, I may be the right teacher for you!
I can help with:
- Beginners learning the English language for the first time, all the way to more advanced English learners
- Test preparation such as IELTS, TOEFL, university exams, etc
- Informal conversation practice
- More structured lessons in learning English grammar rules, pronunciation and spelling and developing lexis / vocabulary
I have been a Cambly tutor for almost a year, and qualified with my CELTA teaching qualification in 2022. I have experience of teaching online and face to face, and can also tutor children. I am half Japanese and can speak Japanese fluently up to intermediate level.

First consultation lesson to check suitability is free except for the My Language Exchange fee which is $3.
After this, lesson fees are as follows:
Individuall y booked lessons (45 minutes each) - $8
If you would like to book a 5 lesson block - $37.50 ($7.50 each lesson)
